Our PSD2 APIs

The Payment Services Directive (PSD2) (EU 2015/2366) is an initiative from European Union to stimulate to online movement and management of money convenient and more secure for all European citizens. We look forward to offer our customers freedom of choice in how they manage their money.
To support the initiative we have implemented all APIs required by the EU directive. TPPs are welcome to create innovative solutions using our following Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

Account Information Service (AIS)
The aim of the AIS is to give customers relevant and up-to-date information at any time to any platform they wish. By using our Account Information Service API, as TPP you can retrieve accessible DHB Bank payment accounts and information such as balances and transactions.  

This API can be usable by Account Information Service Providers with valid PSD2 license and account information can only be accessed if the DHB Bank account holder authorizes this access.

If your customers would like to have aggregated financial information or an overview of accounts held at different banks then this is the API you need.

With this API you can retrieve:

  • Account general information, such as account holder name and/or account name
  • Real-time balance information
  • Transactions information  
  • Transaction details information, such as booking date and amount

Payment Initiation Service
With the Payment Initiation Service API you can:
  • Initiate a single EUR currency SEPA payment from a DHB Bank account to an account in another bank that is under the SEPA coverage.
  • Follow the status of a prebiously initiated payment to keep track.
This API can be usable by Payment Initiation Service Providers with a valid PSD2 license and a payment can only be initiated from an account if DHB Bank account holder authorizes this payment. 

If your customers would like to initate payments from your application or use only one application for several banks the Payment Initiation Service API is the API you need.

Confirmation of Funds Service
By using our PSD2 Confirmation of Funds API, you can easily check whether a specific amount is available on a payment account.
